Essential Functions

Primary responsibilities consist of:

  • Providing oversight for and teaching courses in the Curriculum and Instruction program, STEM Certificate program, the Educational Studies Education for Sustainability Certificate.
  • Developing networks across the university and region for STEM and sustainability awareness.
  • Teaching face-to-face or online courses at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral level.
  • Engaging in university, professional, and program service, including participation in continuous program improvement and new program development.
  • Work collaboratively across academic programs, community agencies, and professional associations. Knowledge, experience, or research that contributes to the university, college, and school mission statements are essential to success in this position.

Job Overview

The School of Education within the College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for an Assistant Professor-Educator, a non-tenure track position with primary responsibilities in the STEM Education, Education for Environmental Sustainability, and Curriculum and Instruction programs. The position start date will be January 1, 2023.

Minimum Requirements

  • Applicants must have an earned doctoral degree in a field appropriate to the requirements of the position.
  • At least 1 academic year of higher education teaching in a STEM Education-related program.
  • 1-3 years of experience in STEM program development.
  • One (1) academic year of experience with on-line teaching are required.
  • Evidence of Scholarly research activity in the form of at least 3 publications, presentation, or grants are required.
