| Job Duties | East Carolina University School of Theatre and Dance seeks a collaborative, dynamic, student-centered faculty member for an Assistant or Associate Professor in Musical Theatre with a specialty in Acting. Duties and responsibilities · Teaching all levels of acting, from lecture based for non-majors to advanced acting for professional acting majors · Teaching Musical Theatre Performance Techniques (song/scene study) · Mentoring students in the acting & musical theatre concentrations · Working with musical theatre seniors on a capstone project · Potential for directing opportunities · Any additional duties as assigned by the Director Contingent upon available funding. |

| Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education | Candidates with previous university teaching experience and/or significant professional level experience in musical theatre are preferred. Applicants should be able to utilize identity-conscious, culturally sensitive, and inclusive teaching strategies that engage with diverse experiences and worldviews and recognize the evolving needs of the modern professional musical theatre performer. |
