Summary of Job Duties:
The Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance at University of Arkansas at Little Rock invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Accounting (P00001251) to begin August 16, 2022. Area of expertise is open, but with a strong preference for candidates with teaching, research or practical experience with Audit. The prospective applicant will teach accounting courses from their areas of expertise in our day and online programs. This is a nine-month tenure-track position. Active research as well as service are expected. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

• Ph.D. or DBA in Accounting from an AACSB accredited institution, and the credentials to warrant appointment at the tenure-track rank of assistant professor;
• ABD may be considered if all degree requirements are completed before employment commences.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

• Applicants with prior teaching experience at an AACSB institution, particularly in online environments, will be preferred;
• A professional designation (e.g. CPA, CMA, etc.) will be viewed favorably.

Job Duties:

• Teach required courses per semester (fall and spring), of which 2 to 3 may be different courses; classes take place in the mornings, at night (1 to 2 nights/week), and/or online course;
• Perform research leading to publications in national journals in the areas of instruction, such
• publications will be considered in yearly evaluations;
• Serve on University, College, and Department committees.

• Committed to students’ success as indicated by prior teaching experience in-person and online courses;
• Ability to mentor;
• Committed to remaining current in the area of expertise and instruction;
• Demonstrated teaching ability.
