Department Summary The HSC College of Pharmacy (HSCCP) is located at the HSC campus in Fort Worth, TX and is joined by colleges/schools of Osteopathic Medicine, Public Health, Health Professions, and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. HSCCP graduated its first class and received accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) in 2017.
Position Summary The University or North Texas Health Science Center (HSC) at Fort Worth College of Pharmacy (HSCCP) is inviting applications for a clinical psychiatric pharmacist faculty position In the Department of Pharmacotherapy. This individual will serve as a College of Pharmacy faculty member and will enhance the UNTHSC vision and mission while making meaningful contributions to the profession of pharmacy and the community. This position will maintain a practice site in psychiatric pharmacy/behavioral health and provide pharmaceutical care to patients along with academic responsibilities related to the provision of experiential rotations for Doctor of Pharmacy candidates.
Minimum Qualifications The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:
Applicants must have graduated with a PharmD from an ACPE– accredited pharmacy program with a pharmacy degree and be eligible to practice pharmacy in Texas.
Completed a post-graduate year one residency followed by a post-graduate year two (PGY2) Psychiatric Pharmacy Residency or have at least 3-5 years of experience in psychiatric pharmacy practice.
Preferred Qualifications The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
Board Certified or eligible for Board Certification in Psychiatric Pharmacy.
Teaching and/or precepting experience or completion of a teaching and learning certificate program.
Required License / Registration / Certification Applicants must have graduated with a PharmD from an ACPE– accredited pharmacy program with a pharmacy degree and be eligible to practice pharmacy in Texas.

Description of Job Duty Actively participates as a preceptor for P4 students during Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPEs) with the potential for precepting P1-P3 students during Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPEs) from HSCCP.
Description of Job Duty Works collaboratively as an essential member of an interprofessional team offering expertise in evidence-based, guideline­ directed, and cost-effective pharmacotherapy to improve clinical outcomes at assigned practice site.
Description of Job Duty Contributes to a culture of scholarly excellence within the Department through research that ensures that the faculty member remains on the cutting edge of their chosen areas of research and scholarly activity relevant to the future of pharmacy.
Description of Job Duty Contributes to a culture of collaboration within the Department and College that works in close cooperation with faculty of other Schools/Colleges at the HSC to provide interprofessional education that meets the needs of a diverse population of Texas for effective partnerships in health and therapy.
