The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Rheumatology has an opening for a full-time Assistant Professor 

Nature of Work:

Examples of Work Performed:

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Share in all of the clinical, teaching and scholarly activities of the Section on Rheumatology, Department of Pediatrics.

• Staff clinic sessions at Children’s Hospital Colorado and outreach program sites as assigned.

Competencies:

• Skill in performance of physical examinations relevant to rheumatologic care
• Comprehensive knowledge of rheumatologic conditions and medications appropriate for care of such patients
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and consulting services
• Ability to educate others

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established at $170,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire

• MD/DO

• Completed ACGME approved Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Training

• Board Certified or Eligible for certification in Pediatric Rheumatology

Conditions of Employment: 

  • Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado
  • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, academic health care setting.

• Ability to function independently in both outpatient clinic and inpatient consult settings.

• Interest in teaching and mentoring trainees.
