| Position Description | Harvard’s Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology (HSCRB ) and Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) are jointly recruiting a tenure-track professor. The successful candidate will be co-located with DBMI faculty on the Harvard Medical School campus, and will join an interdisciplinary and collaborative community engaged in innovative research and teaching at the interface of biology, informatics, and medicine. The candidate will have research space for computational studies and will have ample opportunities to collaborate with HSCRB and other HMS faculty utilizing experimental approaches. We seek a candidate who employs computational methods to solve important questions at the level of molecules, cells, tissues, or organisms. Example areas of interest include, but are not limited to computational genomics, statistical genetics, computational modeling of biological systems and cell-based therapeutics, and computational protein design. Candidates with a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree, a record of significant research accomplishments, and an innovative research program in an area synergized with HSCRB and DBMI are invited to apply. The faculty recruit will benefit from strong institutional and departmental commitment and mentorship, state-of-the-art research facilities, and a vibrant, collaborative research enterprise. This joint program brings together fundamental biology, computational approaches, and medical science to create unique scientific and educational opportunities. Appointment will be considered at the rank of assistant professor. The appointee will teach and advise undergraduate, graduate, and medical students.
