We are seeking an Assistant Pre-Award Manager to provide comprehensive pre-award support. The role holder is responsible for assessing the costing and pricing of research applications, particularly complex or large applications, and will manage the submission process for their portfolio of applications. The role holder will review Terms and Conditions of funders and provide advice to faculty-based research teams on the preparation of project budgets in line with LSHTM policies.
The postholder will work within a small team, led by the Pre-Award Manager, in providing an efficient customer-focused pre-award service. The postholder will support the Pre-award Manager in ensuring all funding applications comply with LSHTM and funder policies and procedures, and for the continuous improvement of the service.
The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience of complex grant administration or research management and working knowledge of research budgeting concepts and methodologies (e.g. FEC, TRAC).
The post is full time and permanent.
The salary will be on the Professional Servicesl salary scale Grade 6 in the range £41,829 – £47,503 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
