Assistant Manager, Office of Innovation and Enterprise [LKCMedicine]

Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research, and has made innovation and enterprise (I&E) a part of its strategic vision. The Office of Innovation and Enterprise (OIE) was set up to inculcate the innovation and entrepreneurial culture in LKCMedicine and to help researchers identify and develop opportunities to commercialise biomedical research. LKCMedicine is looking for an Assistant Manager who will report to the Head of OIE.

The role of the Assistant Manager is to assist the Head of OIE at LKCMedicine in operationalising the OIE activities and also in project and grant management of the newly set-up innovation grant. The key responsibilities include:

  • Grant management and project management of the newly set-up innovation grant

  • Set-up OIE workshops and events

  • Assist in tracking performance/I&E metrics and reporting matters

  • Assist in contracts matters (such as simple industry research collaboration agreements)

  • Assist in generating marketing materials

  • Provide other administrative support to the OIE team (such as budgeting, purchasing, audit preparation, minutes writing)  

Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: Scientific/technology background with BSc or MSc in Biomedical Sciences/ Life Sciences.

  • At least 2 – 3 years of relevant working experience in technology transfer or innovation offices

  • Experience with grant and/or project management is preferred

  • Experience with IP, research contracts is highly desired

  • Possess effective oral and written communication skills and organizational skills

  • Multi-tasking abilities is a must

  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills

This position will be on a 3-year contract term in the first instance.
