Job Description

The incumbent will provide support to the Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Science. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:    

  • Work closely with Programme Director(s) and Dean’s Office to take charge of the end-to-end administration of the self-financing coursework-based full-time and part-time Master’s programmes throughout the student lifecycle, including student admission, handling student enquiries, student module registration, arranging academic consultations, managing programme website, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Programme Directors and Dean’s Office to manage the programme’s admission cycles to upkeep the programme’s quality.
  • Manage the end-to-end administration of the Continuous Education and Training (CET) programmes/courses (i.e., graduate certificate programmes and stand-alone courses), including student admission, handling student enquiries, student module registration, managing programme website, etc. 
  • Manage claims submission activities for SSG-funded modules, including collating and preparing information for claims submission for funding, verifying the supporting documents are in accordance with funding requirements, actively follow-up with stakeholders to ensure claims are submitted accurately and in a timely manner, etc. 
  • Provide other administrative support to the Department as deemed necessary.

Qualifications/Requirements/Other Info

  • Academic qualification: Bachelor/Master’s degree from a recognized university, preferably in Sciences. 
  • Prior working experience (minimum 3 to 5 years), especially in an administrative position, in the higher education sector would be advantageous.
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented with strong numeracy abilities, reliable and conscientious.
  • Good time management and organizational skills, able to multitask efficiently.
  • Fast learner, positive attitude, proactive and self-driven with a high degree of professional integrity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Independent and a self-start yet a team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

– Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with annual variable bonus which is subject to incumbent’s performance and the University/School’s prevailing remuneration policies.

– The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.
