Job Description
Operations & Student Services Administration Experiential Learning
Student Council and Clubs
• Organize and manage student council and clubs election campaigns
• Organize annual retreat for the council and club leaders to strategize, discuss plans and budget for events/activities to be organized for the student cohort
• Manage and provide support for club activities
• Closely work with student leaders on student-initiated activities
• Interact with student leaders to establish good rapport and relationship between the programme office and students
• Evaluate proposals for activities by student leaders, provide advice on suitability as well as logistical support for the activities
• Work alongside with alumni and career offices to establish meaningful experience for the MBA community
• Build rapport and establish relationships with MBA alumni and corporate partners for continuous support to the MBA community
Student Activities
• Provide administrative support for student-led overseas study trips for the MBA students
• Organize social and networking activities which may involve alumni, inter-varsity students, exchange students, faculty members, and corporate partners
• Manage budget and disbursements for student activities
• Manage correspondences with the partner universities and corporate partners for overseas study trips and provide post-event reports, evaluation and analysis for the trips
• Generate ideas to enrich the non-academic lives of the student cohort
Competitions and conferences
• Identify, evaluate, and provide recommendations for participation in local and international case competitions/conferences for students
• Disseminate the competition/conference information and manage the submission of student applications for participation
• Organize and be involved in the selection of teams to represent NUS
• Manage registration for the competition/conference and logistical coordination with the competition/conference organizers
• Provide post-event write up and evaluation for the competition/conference
Web and Social Media Communication
• Manage activities on and ensure updated content on various interactive platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Linked-In and student blogs
• Maintain a collection of photos and a photo database
• Manage effective communication channels for the students
Others
• Work with students to produce the Yearbook for each cohort
• Organize regular and ad-hoc events for the students
Qualifications
• At least a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University
• 2 – 5 years of experience
• Able to work independently, is pro-active, task-oriented and yet service-minded
• A fast learner, willingness to learn, meticulous with good problem-solving skills and able to multi-task
• A team-player, with willingness to support inter-team/office activities
• Able to develop good rapport with students, as well as university and corporate partners
• Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable in communicating with senior management/faculty, cross department colleagues and diverse culture (experienced) students
• Comfortable navigating with Social Media channels like Facebook, Instagram and Linked-In
• Experience in using Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and other educational IT System
• Experience in working within the education industry will be ideal, but not necessary
(Appointment job grade will commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience)
