Assistant Manager, Digital Innovations

The Office of Information, Knowledge and Library Services (OIKLS) invites applications for the position of Librarian / Senior Librarian for our Digital Innovations Team.  We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has the relevant skill sets and experience to recommend and implement suitable digital tools and platforms supporting the library’s greater involvement in contributing to the Interdisciplinary Core Curriculum (ICC), Co-Curriculum Workshops for Residential Education, URECA and other Transferrable Skills initiatives, Open Education projects and showcasing of NTU Research such as the Enhanced Academic Profile. This is in support of Library’s efforts to contribute to NTU2025 goals, especially in the areas of education and showcasing of research outputs.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice to faculty and students on different ways of showcasing student projects and faculty research outputs. There are at least 5 projects yearly.

• Contribute new content and co-teach workshops focusing on cultivating research skills and digital literacy. This is in support of NTU 2025 strategic plans for education

• Ensure that the NTU Academic Profile which highlights the research outputs of 3,000 faculty and researchers are kept up-to-date and are easily discoverable

Qualifications / Requirements

• A recognized bachelor’s degree.

• Good written and presentation skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with peers, colleagues, and stakeholders.

• Good organizational skills and the ability to handle and prioritize concurrent projects

• Interest or experience in web development or Python to support academic research is an advantage
