Position Summary: 
Incumbent works in a high volume Referral Center to establish, support and maintain relationships with internal and external referral entities, such as medical groups, IPA’s, Health Plans and community physicians.
 
 
Salary Range: 
 
Hourly Rate  Minimum   $21.35              Midpoint        $25.80                 Maximum $30.24
 
Required Qualifications:
  
Understanding of medical terminology as well as insurance programs and payors
Ability to problem solve, negotiate and research for answers
Demonstrated skill to communicate via telephone and handle extremely high volume of phone calls
Working knowledge of MS Office products
Minimum 1 to 2 years experience in a Customer Service position within the health care environment
Ability to appropriately deal with stressful situations and individuals while remaining calm and professional
Ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner
Knowledge of hospital based registration/scheduling system to register patients
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous call center experience
Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese
