About the Role

Both roles will sit in the Financial Management team.  Key responsibilities are to ensure that the month end reporting is robust, accurate and on time and to assist in getting a clear understanding of financial performance.  Both roles will support the Financial management team with clear and robust financial information and support the production of high quality budgets, forecasts and long term financial plans.

This role will also assist in the production of financial regulatory returns to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), Office for Students (OFS) and other bodies, and coordinate requests for information requiring input from across the wider Financial Management team.

About You

The successful candidate will have experience of working in Financial management. A high level of numerical, analytical and IT skills is essential. The post holder will be extremely organised and work well on their own initiative. The ability to work independently, problem solve and prioritise tasks, work flexibly and being able to work as part of a team is essential. The candidate relevant qualification and will be studying towards full CCAB qualification.

The Financial Management Team is part of the broader Finance Directorate, and provides business partnering, planning and analysis services to our 3 faculties, professional services directorates and across our capital programme.

This post is offered with the opportunity for hybrid (i.e. a mixture of home based and office) working and based at our new Department W building, in Whitechapel, and Mile End Campus London. The post is a full time (35 hours per week), permanent appointment. The starting salary will be in the range of £36,348 – £42,592 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
