Job Overview

Support the creation and implementation of strategies to provide faculty support in the design and development of online courses. Serve as a liaison between college and university personnel, faculty, and students for online course design. Work to create a culture of quality, successful student experience in online learning.

Essential Functions

Consult, design, develop, and deliver training to further best practices in online education and establish and develop the skills in online learning technology.
Collaborate, develop, and implement strategies for enhancing online learning and the online learning community within the university.
Promote and coordinate the university’s online learning and quality assurance initiatives.
Develop and/or edit content for internal or external publication related to the university online learning community, online learning standards, and online learning best practices.
May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree.
Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Three (3) years of experience in online/blended course design, curriculum development, faculty development, teaching, or other related area.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
