Job Description

Under administrative direction of Senior Director of Corporate Enrollment and Scholarship Services, develops, manages and maintains the day-to-day online and corporate enrollment partnership services policies, procedures and operations for Online and Corporate Enrollment Partnerships to ensure accurate messaging, financial aid and scholarship awarding, disbursement and fiscal accountability. This position plays a collaborative role in the education, outreach, and implementation of Online and Corporate Enrollment Partnerships processes and procedures within the university and external community.

Essential Duties

  • Assists in the management of the Corporate Enrollment Partnership Services and Online Financial Aid Counseling team.
  • Serves as a liaison between the Corporate Enrollment Partnership Services and Online Financial Aid Counseling team and the corresponding Corporate Partners and Ed Plus stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with Financial Aid and Scholarship Services and Help Desk colleagues to maintain high standards of customer service.
  • Provides day to day supervisory resource to Corporate Enrollment Partnership Services and Online Financial Aid Counseling team.
  • Works to ensure the effective, accurate and efficient delivery of services to students.
  • Serves as a representative of Financial Aid and Scholarship Services and Arizona State University at meetings and planning sessions to develop, refine and promote partnerships.
  • Supervises, trains and evaluates assigned staff to meet ongoing quality assurance and regulatory standards.
  • Collects data from multiple data sources and create presentations and necessary materials to communicate department objectives, goals, production and collaborative priorities to internal and external stakeholders and partners.
  • Delivers presentations to Internal, Corporate Partner and Ed Plus stakeholders as necessary.
  • Monitors productivity of team and helps establish daily, weekly, monthly production goals.
  • Monitors work to ensure compliance. Provides and/or coordinates operational and compliance training to staff.
  • Ensures quality customer service standards are maintained.
  • Conducts and assists with the development of long and short-range goals
  • Develops objectives and activities based on department goals.
  • Helps develop, implement, evaluate and maintain department policies and procedures.
  • Acts as a liaison with the community, students, faculty and staff facilitating university programs.
  • Resolves problems and issues affecting the department and recommends measures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND six (6) years of related administrative experience, which includes three (3) years of supervisory experience; OR, Ten (10) years of related administrative experience, which includes three (3) years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

  • Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining training materials and unit processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical application in PeopleSoft, Salesforce, Microsoft Office.

Working Environment

  • Activities are performed in an environmentally-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse
  • Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work
  • Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds
  • Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
  • Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions

Financial Aid and Scholarship Services is one of several departments comprising Academic Enterprise Enrollment which utilizes a variety of strategies to enroll and support a diverse student population representative of Arizona State University’s vision.  The Financial Aid and Scholarship Services unit strives to provide excellent customer service with the goal to make each student’s application for financial aid a simple and affordable process.  Each staff member is committed to helping a student finance their education by effectively utilizing scholarships, grants, work-study and loans.  The unit provides tools to help determine the cost of attending ASU, including a scholarship portal to search for available scholarships.  The department also provides resources for student to use to budget their money and a student employment unit which processes department requests for student workers.
