Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life
High Point University is currently seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life. This position effectively assists with the development and management of FSL programs and recruitment for the University, directly advises one/two of the three councils which include the Interfraternity Council, including IFC Conduct process, the NPHC Council, or the College Panhellenic Council and supervises the Resident Director of Greek Village.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Master’s degree preferred
Experience and Training
Minimum of one to three years of Fraternity and Sorority Life experience
Experience in serving as a conduct officer
CPR and First Aid Certification preferred
Must successfully complete 4-week training program and 2-month job shadow program

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Supervises the RD of Greek Village
Serves as the primary advisor to one/two of the governing councils including the Interfraternity Council (IFC), College Panhellenic Council or National Pan-Hellenic Council
Assists the governing executive boards in the planning and implementation of fraternity or sorority recruitment
Trains and advises the IFC Conduct Board (if applicable)
Oversees the IFC conduct process (if applicable)
Works with the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life in the development and implementation of educational programs including but not limited to risk management, new member education, recruitment, and conduct
Maintains positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with students, students’ parents, faculty, co-workers and managers
Develops and maintains relationships with national leadership of fraternity and sorority organizations
Ensures University social and housing regulations are provided to students; manages residence hall activities; determines and administers discipline and sanctions for minor judicial infractions.
Determines when students need to be referred to Counseling Services, Student Conduct, etc. for resolution of more serious issues
Attends all meetings and events as designated by the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life
Other duties as assigned
