Position Summary | Bryant University seeks an Assistant Director of Digital Media to join the growing University Marketing and Communication team. The Assistant Director of Digital Media works with the Associate Director of Content Marketing, and Senior Director of Marketing and Communications to develop digital strategies to engage key audiences through various web-based platforms, video development, and digital assets to analyze and measure our digital efforts. The Assistant Director develops, deploys, and manages content for institutional social media channels to maximize effective stakeholder engagement. Works across campus to coordinate strategies and is a key communicator in crisis. This position reports to the Associate Director of Content Marketing. Qualifications | This position is best filled by an individual with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in communications or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing successful social-media engagement through content creation and curation. The candidate must have extensive experience in researching, interpreting and applying trends and best practices to enhance social media and website engagement as well as experience working with video and digital visual elements, photography, and graphics to complement editorial content, web, and social media. They will have demonstrated experience in researching, writing, editing, and proofing diverse editorial content, sometimes within highly condensed timeframes; ability to understand issues from a broad, strategic perspective. The ability to effectively participate in comprehensive emergency-communications efforts is important as is the ability to use market research to enhance the impact of digital content including web communications, podcasts, and social media. |
