The Opportunity:

Oversee specific high-level gift administration tasks, business processes, and training in addition to day-to-day management of the Gift Processing team.

Responsibilities:

1. Daily supervision of Gift Services team focusing particularly in the areas of accuracy, responsiveness, efficient processes, and operational needs. Assists in managing the day-to-day of all gift processing functions. Serve as back up for processing of batches as needed.

2. Responsible for High-Level Gift Administration projects such as evaluating the quarterly research foundation files, handling the monthly pledge reminders, completing complex giving summaries, and the year-end tax letters.

3. Is the resident expert for other personnel involved in gift entry, resolving problems arising from ambiguity of data and revising policies and procedures as needed; consults with supervisor if decisions require major changes in specified procedures.

4. Creates and maintains documentation and processes for colleges and units to allow for ease in submitting gifts and requests to the processing group.

5. Serves as department liaison on revenue generating projects – ex. Senior class gift, Day of Giving, Faculty/Staff campaign.

6. Evaluate present systems to determine whether some functions can be automated to improve turnaround time.

7. Maintains solid understanding of IRS charitable contribution rules and regulations. Stays abreast of emerging trends in the field of philanthropic gift recording.

8. Ensure that all staff are cross trained as appropriate in each of the functional areas within advancement services. Assist with training new division employees.

9. Participate in associations and other professional networks to advance UCF’s practice and establish UCF Advancement as an industry thought leader.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred experience with Blackbaud CRM.
