Job Description

The Assistant Director for Learning Opportunities in the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) will work with the directors and campus partners to provide centralized services and support for work-based learning opportunities. The assistant director’s responsibilities will include: (a) provide support for coordination, management, and communication of work-based learning opportunities connected to academic degrees and programs; (b) serve as the primary point of contact to connect external partners and opportunities to relevant academic programs and faculty; (c) provide professional development for faculty and programs on best practices with work-based learning providers; (d) develop and maintain training materials and templates for faculty and learning opportunity providers for best practices and consistency; (e) manage centralized interface for learning opportunities; (f) serve as a liaison with key campus stakeholders for provision of work-based learning opportunities; (g) supporting the overall mission of CETL by collaborating on programs for evidence-based educational practices; (h) serving on appropriate university committees; and, function in a year-round (CY) planning and management capacity.

Required Qualifications

The required qualifications for a successful candidate for the assistant director position include: (a) a Bachelor’s degree with related experience equivalent to a graduate level degree or Master’s degree; (b) a demonstrated ability to manage projects with multiple stakeholders; (c) experience managing agreements inclusive of MOUs and partnerships; (d) experience with technology platforms to manage workflows and communicate opportunities; (f) excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills; and, (g) demonstrated ability to cooperate across a range of stakeholders to manage and execute time-sensitive projects.

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the required qualifications, preferred qualifications for the assistant director position include: (a) experience working in a large organization; (b) experience with industry internship programs or other work-based experience programs; (c) experience with legal agreements concerning Intellectual Property (IP) rights and Non-disclosure agreements; (c) evidence of expertise in written, spoken and visual communications; (e) evidence of the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative atmosphere.

Salary Information

$60,000-$70,000
