This position is accountable for the planning and implementation of all enrollment management activities related to online graduate programs. This position reports to the Director of Graduate Programs and is accountable for the planning and implementation of the marketing, recruitment, yield, and enrollment for existing online graduate degrees and certificate programs as well as all future online graduate degrees and certificate programs. Primary emphasis is on significantly growing the applicant pool of qualified graduate students as well as increasing enrollment in each program. This role works closely with the Assistant Director of Graduate Student Success to ensure a smooth transition from applicant to student for all online programs.
This position may require travel and will require some night/weekend hours as needed.
The College of Business currently offers a Professional MBA Online and a Graduate Certificate in Innovative Healthcare Leadership online. Future online offerings in both the College of Business, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Health and Behavioral Sciences will be an increasingly important part of courses and programs at Bryant.
Principal Accountabilities The principal accountabilities of the Assistant Director of Graduate Admission include, but are not limited to:
  • Meet established enrollment goals by increasing the prospect pool and applicant pool for each program, and by maximizing acceptance yield.
  • Successfully recruit qualified students with annual established goals and identified characteristics for assigned graduate programs. Project a professional image of the University and maintain a thorough knowledge of admission processes.
  • Effectively represent the Bryant University Graduate Programs at on- and off- campus information sessions. Participate in the formulation of events as appropriate.
  • Build relationships with corporate partners, academic departments of undergraduate institutions of higher education and career counseling offices of said institutions to establish pathways and pipelines in enrollment.
  • Proactively work with University Relations team to identify opportunities for marketing, materials, and sponsorships to increase the presence of Bryant’s programs and increase awareness of our programs through designated target audiences.
  • Manage and coordinate all marketing and related activities that pertain to growing online enrollment.
  • Work with the Assistant Director of Graduate Student Success to create a standardized onboarding transition from confirmed enrollment to registered student.
  • Implement effective follow up procedures including written communications, interviews, and telephone contacts by utilizing Slate, the CRM for the Graduate Programs Office.
  • Manage the admissions process for all prospective students, from first inquiry, through application and provide designated data/reports as directed.
  • Effectively conduct pre-admission counseling of prospective students to ensure a thorough understanding of the admission process, curriculum and scheduling options for the graduate programs, and tuition rates. Communicate effectively with individuals, parents, guardians, college faculty and administration.
  • Supervise the collection and completion of application materials in a thorough and timely manner and ready applications for review by the admission committee.
  • Implement the Graduate School’s overall recruitment/marketing strategies by participating in telemarketing, direct mail, volunteer programs and publication projects as directed.
  • Remain current on enrollment management issues and the use of technology in college admissions.
  • Act proactively and creatively with regard to funding innovative ways of reaching out to, connecting with, and recruiting prospective students and organizations that would be a good fit for Bryant University’s Graduate Programs.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications This position is best filled by an individual with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s or post-graduate work preferred), and a minimum of three years of experience which demonstrates competence and growth in admissions, recruiting, or sales, preferably with a background of working with graduate students. Experience should demonstrate familiarity with marketing practices, personal selling, professional communications, social media, and technology skills. Familiarity with promoting and/or recruiting online programs is preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to effectively advise applicants on application requirements and process.
