This position serves the Athletic Department as the Assistant Athletic Director of Event Management. The incumbent will oversee all assigned home athletic contests for varsity sports with input from the Associate Athletic Director while overseeing athletics event management staff. The incumbent serves in the primary support role for preparations and game management of all home football games. Coordinate the planning and execution of all ACC and NCAA Championship events in the sports the incumbent is assigned and overseeing staff assigned sports. The incumbent will manage the policy development for crowd control, game management, facility usage, emergency policies, and procedures. The incumbent will foster teamwork and collaboration with university campus partners, including ASM, Chartwells, Facilities Management, Landmark, Conference Services, etc.
Coordinate practice and game-day management aspects associated with all athletic events. Coordinate with Facility Management to ensure competitive competitions are prepared. The individual will develop and oversee visiting team guides for all assigned sports. Serves on campus, community, ACC, and NCAA Committees as requested. Coordinate outside rentals of the Petersen Sports Complex, Trees Hall Swimming Pool, and the Fitzgerald Field House.
Master’s degree with five to six years of experience required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted per university guidelines.
