About this Opportunity Ball State University’s School of Nursing invites applications for four (4) full-time tenure or tenure-line faculty at the rank of assistant, associate or full professor in both the undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Specialty areas include medical/surgical, community health, pediatrics, psychiatric mental health, family nurse practitioner, nursing education, and nursing leadership/administration. Description Full-time tenure or tenure-line faculty at the rank of assistant, associate or full professor in both the undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Specialty areas include medical/surgical, community health, pediatrics, psychiatric mental health, family nurse practitioner, nursing education, and nursing leadership/administration.
Minimum Qualifications 1) Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in the United States, with Indiana Registered Nurse License obtained by date of appointment;
2) Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution; and
3) Earned doctorate in nursing or a related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment.
5) If an NP, current national board certification.
Authorization to work in the US Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated ability to
1) teach (undergraduate and graduate) didactic and clinical nursing content in area of expertise;
2) develop and/or maintain a program of research;
3) work collaboratively with diverse faculty, students and staff; and
4) promote change to improve the didactic and clinical course curriculum.
Required Certifications/Licensures Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in the United States, with Indiana Registered Nurse License obtained by date of appointment

College/Department Information The School of Nursing enjoys a solid reputation for graduating BSN students who are not only prepared for practice, but ready for challenges brought to hospitals, clinics and community settings that require nurses to interface with a variety of other healthcare professionals. The baccalaureate degree in nursing and master’s degree in nursing programs at Ball State University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Ranked 20th for Master’s in Nursing in U.S. New and World Report’s 2020 “Best Online Programs,” our master’s programs enroll about 120 students. Built in 2019, our Simulation and Skills Laboratories provide state of the art space, including fundamentals as well as obstetrics and pediatrics. The School of Nursing’s 49 faculty are committed to scholarship and research and have strengths in a variety of areas including, for example, infant mortality, maternal mental health, mitigating the impact of COVID-19 for community organizations, depression among adults with heart failure, sickle cell anemia in Kenya, fall prevention, autism and simulation in nursing education.
