Position Description:
The University of Northern Iowa’s Department of Political Science seeks applicants for a temporary Assistant Adjunct Professor of Political Science to teach the three-credit course – POL COMP 3125 Politics of Nonviolence – for the Fall 2024 semester. The in-person course meets on campus Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:00-11:50 a.m. The course analyzes theories and concrete examples of nonviolence in politics, and it examines nonviolent power as a part of daily politics in most political systems and as a component of many successful movements for political change.
Education Requirements:
Ph.D. in Political Science required.
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in teaching advanced comparative politics courses at the university level; and demonstrated evidence of teaching effectiveness required.
