The Department of Economics at The University of Western Ontario invites applications for one probationary (tenure track) at the rank of assistant or associate professor or tenured appointment at the rank of associate professor in Economics. This position is affiliated with our Master of Financial Economics program. The research specialization for the appointment can be in Econometrics, Financial Econometrics, Financial Economics, International Finance, Macroeconomics, or Theory. The position requires teaching in Western’s Master of Financial Economics program.
The tenured associate professor position also requires serving as Director of the Master of Financial Economics Program for a three-year (renewable) term. Unless otherwise specified, this appointment is effective July 1, 2025, but an alternate starting date may be arranged. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
