About the Role

Assessment Unit administrator is a member of Assessment Unit within the Institute of Health Sciences & Education. The key role is to deliver all assessments (in-course, progress, and end-of-year) for the five Year and Graduate Entrants’ MBBS programmes as well as examinations and assessments for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Intercalated Degrees, Physicians Associate (PA) and MBBS Malta in the SMD.

The post holder will provide administrative support and act as secretary to designated exam boards and committees.

The post holder will work closely with academic and professional staff, facilitating the needs of both academics and students. The post holder will be required to lead a matrix of assessment support providing administrative support to colleagues throughout the assessment annual schedule. It is expected that the work of the post holder will make a positive contribution to the student experience and contribute to reputational and operational impact.

About You

We are looking for an administrator with experience of working in a Higher Education Office environment (preferably health care related) and a good understanding of the HE administrative cycle and related issues. Attention to detail, and a high level of organisational, communication, analytical, numerical and IT skills are essential.  Assessment Unit is a fast paced and busy team that works closely together. The ability to work independently and problem solve and prioritise effectively, as well as being able to work effectively as part of a team is required.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for TBC, with an expected start date of January 2023. The post end date will be July 2026. The starting salary will be Grade 3, in the range of £29,082 -£35,775 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
