We are a seeking an Assessment Lead (Medicine), who will work with key academic and professional staff within the Sydney Medical School, to lead a team that operationalises areas of the assessment delivery cycle online examinations, online proctoring, and clinical assessments. This role acts as a link between Faculty and central PSUs to implement and refine assessment and examination processes at a school level, thereby supporting best practice delivery across the academic year.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
liaise with academics to coordinate production of a broad range of written examinations, assessments and clinical examinations including providing support to maintain exam question banks, exam delivery and planning on assessments in online assessment systems and the LMS
ensure the compilation of academic content and materials prepared by Academic and Teaching staff for in-person and online exams and uploading to Canvas and other online assessment systems in a timely manner
ensure that accurate and timely assessment information is published for students in the LMS sites.
coordinate the administrative operation and delivery of clinical assessments in clinical schools to ensure standards and consistency of assessments are maintained
provide training for academics and clinical school staff on operational management of clinical examinations (including tablet scoring and marking)
collate quantitative and qualitative examination data in preparation for analysis and reporting by academic and teaching staff.
About you
To be successful in this role, you:
have knowledge of SRES, excel, managing data, Sydney Student, and SITS
have experience leading a small team
can work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that arise as part of normal daily work
have demonstrated applied knowledge of University policies and procedures and administrative processes within a tertiary environment
have excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes.
