PED 3568 Gestion de classe, des apprentissages et du curriculum au secondaire II (1.5 crédit)
Examination of the models associated with managing the teaching and learning situation as a whole. Analysis of the actions taken by the teacher to create an inclusive work climate, conducive to optimal learning for all students and to their appropriation and construction of knowledge. Study of sequential and simultaneous actions that, upstream of situations, enable the organization of class time and space, as well as the coordination of curricular activities: pedagogical animation, establishment and maintenance of rules of life by and for adolescents, conflict management and relations with other stakeholders in the school and community environment.

Requirements:
Master’s degree in Education required; preference will be given to a Doctorate in Education relevant to the course subject; – At least one of the following: Recent full-time teaching experience in a school or administration within a school board, including two years of implementing the Ontario Curriculum, with a specialist qualification in Secondary Education, OR Current and peer-reviewed research portfolio in Secondary Education, OR Recent comprehensive examination (Ph.D.) in Secondary Education; – Demonstrated knowledge of the Ontario context related to Secondary Education; – Proven ability to apply the Standards of Practice of the profession and the Code of Ethics of the Ontario College of Teachers; – The University may consider experience or qualifications equivalent to those stated above.
