PDP1576 Audiology, language development and auditory skills

Read and interpret audiograms to better plan instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Understanding of auditory ability and its potential impact on language development and on instructional planning and program development.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in education;

Specialist qualification in the field;

Recent experience in full-time teaching in a school or in administration in a school board;

2 years’ experience in implementing the Ontario curriculum in this subject area;

Confirmation of current qualifications in the field;

Demonstrated ability to apply the Standards of Professional Practice and the Code of Ethics for 

Ontario Teachers’ Code of Ethics.
