A Master’s degree in Education with a focus on learning assessment is required;

Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in Education, specializing in learning assessment.

At least one of the following:

  • Recent full-time teaching experience in a school or administrative experience within a school board, including two years of implementing the Ontario curriculum at the primary/junior/intermediate level, with a specialist qualification at the primary/junior/intermediate level,
  • OR A current, peer-reviewed research portfolio in the subject area of the course to be taught,
  • OR A recent comprehensive examination (Ph.D.) in the subject area of the course to be taught.

Demonstrated knowledge of the Ontario context related to the subject area of the course to be taught.

Proven ability to apply the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession and the Ethical Standards of the Ontario College of Teachers.

The University may consider equivalent experience or qualifications to those mentioned above.
