Two years experience of implementing the Ontario Curriculum in Special Education.

Confirmation of qualification update in Special Education.

Capability of applying the Ethical Standards and the Standards of Practice of the Teaching Profession.

The University may consider experience or qualifications equivalent to those set out above.

Course Schedule:

  • – – The course will be taught according to a schedule determined by the professor. The course will be between 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Requirements:

PDP3720 Special education Specialist

Focus on leadership in special education; extending knowledge and skills for designing and implementing programs for, and assessment of, exceptional students; developing strategies for collaborating with parents/guardians, school and community personnel; integration of information and communication technology; reviewing research and local special education plans; learning strategies to promote special education at school and board levels.

An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
