| Description of Work Unit | The Department: The Department of Geosciences has seventeen full time faculty. The department offers B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees and currently has about 100 majors and 60 graduate students. In keeping with the mission of a Land Grant University, the program is known for its strength in field-based research, commitment to teaching, outreach to solve resource management problems, and basic research programs in sedimentology/stratigraphy, petrology/geochemistry, tectonics, hydrogeology/geomorphology, petroleum geology, economic geology, seismology/geophysics, and geodynamics. |
| Position Summary | The Postdoc will conduct NSF-supported research in source and wave propagation seismology under the mentorship of P.I. Richard Aster. Research will encompass solid Earth seismology, cryoseismology, and volcano seismology. Beginning Monday, August 16, 2021, Colorado State University has mandated vaccinations against COVID-19.
