We are seeking Anesthesiologists for a great opportunity at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, with 13 weeks off per year! Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center (NFMMC) is located in Niagara Falls, New York, serving patients from all across Buffalo-Niagara, Western New York, Ontario and beyond. NFMMC is Niagara’s leader in cardiovascular, women’s health care, bariatric weight loss and primary care. The Medical Center offers a full range of medical, surgical, rehabilitation, and laboratory and imaging services in the Niagara Falls, NY campus as well as its outpatient facilities.

Niagara Falls, recognized for its beautiful landscape on the Canadian border, is a great small-town community. Many of the hospital’s medical staff live in the city and the beautiful surrounding communities where there are numerous public and private school options are available. General and vascular surgery, gastrointestinal and colorectal cases, orthopedic, neurology & spine, gynecology, urology, and plastics.

Shifts

This schedule can be modified. Our physician colleagues may participate in a full week of call in a 1:4 rotation or the call could include call coverage several days in a week.

• 1-week call
• 1-week off:13 weeks off per year
• 2 weeks daytime work : one of which may be covering our neighboring endoscopy site

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
