Intro Everest Carbon is commercializing breakthrough proprietary measurement technology to validate carbon dioxide removal (CDR) through enhanced weathering (EW). We are looking for an Analytical Chemist with industry experience who will conduct experiments and support leading a rapidly growing lab. The position is on-site at our R&D facility in Linz (Austria). Tasks Work closely with our Chief Technology Officer (PhD in Chemistry at MIT) Instruct team members on and carry out analytical chemistry routines at the highest quality, including statistical analysis of the results Prototype novel technologies, from physical devices to measurement procedures Be actively involved in establishing our R&D space in Austria and help us build out an A+ research team, ideally growing into a lab lead role Collaborate with the business development team to effectively communicate findings to customers Requirements MSc or PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field Expertise in analytical chemistry, ideally with relevance to wet-chemical and geochemical contexts Experience conducting independent research and developing effective solutions to measurement challenges Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
