| Position Summary | Ambulatory Internal Medicine Opportunity in the Heart of the Midwest The University of Nebraska Medical Center is recruiting a dynamic physician for an ambulatory general Internal Medicine position in Omaha, NE. The selected candidate will join a team of team of specialists with many years of experience in complex cases, providing exceptional care for adults. Nebraska Medicine, our hospital partner, has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the No. 1 rated hospital in the Omaha metro area and the state for 11 straight years. Opportunity Highlights: · Outpatient only – flexible scheduling (with two half days protected administrative/academic time). No nights or weekends. Infrequent outpatient telephone call. · Gradual build up to manageable patient load in a team-based patient-centered medical home practice · Wide range of practice from annual checkups for young adults to chronic medical conditions · A culture in which diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism are at the foundation of our work · Preceptor supervision of students/residents in clinic is available if desired · Possible option to combine with a hospital medicine position to create a dual inpatient-ambulatory practice.
