Amanuens/teaching assistant, one or more, Interaction

The department of Computer Science and Engineering is a fully integrated department with the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology as principles. The department offer courses in a broad range of subjects. During the spring semester the department offers around seventy courses on BSc- and MSc-level.

The department is now looking for amanuens/teaching assistant for the spring semester 2023 to work with courses within the field of Interaction Design. 

Job assignments

As an amanuens/teaching assistant, you will work with helping and supporting teachers with practical elements in the different courses. This could for example be lab and exercise tutoring. You will have regular contact with the teachers about which elements and practical moments you can be of help within.

The specific courses for the spring semester of 2023 in the field of Interaction Design are listed below. If not specified differently, the courses are held in English and at campus Lindholmen. For each course you can read how many amanuens/teaching assistant we are looking for and the extent.

• DAT420/DIT095 Human-computer interaction, campus Johanneberg (4 amanuens/teaching assistant with extent 20%)
• TDA572/DIT572 Game engine architecture (2 amanuens/teaching assistant with extent 20%)
• CIU187/DIT109 Information visualization (2 amanuens/teaching assistant with extent 20%)
• DAT510/DIT414 Design and construction of digital games (4 amanuens/teaching assistant with extent 20%)
• CIU180/DIT107 Tangible interaction (1 amanuens/teaching assistant with extent 20%)

Study period 4

• DAT216/TIG091 Design och konstruktion av grafiska gränssnitt, course language Swedish and campus Johanneberg (8 amanuens/teaching assistant with extent 20%)
• TDA487/DIT486 Human centered design (2 amanuens/teaching assistant with extent 20%)
• DAT157/DIT157 Designing user experiences (1 amanuens/teaching assistant with extent 20%)

Qualifications

To be qualified for the position you are an active student at University of Gothenburg or Chalmers University of Technology, preferably studying in one of the institution’s BSc or MSc level programmes. To be qualified for the position in a course you should have passed either the same or a similar course. To be qualified for the position you should have good knowledge in the language used in the courses you apply for, that is, English and/or Swedish, both spoken and written.

it is a merit to have completed related continuation courses. It is also a merit if you have experience of teaching and are skilled in instructing and helping people in a pedagogical way.

Since the Department of Computer Science and Engineering is a joint department the employment can be placed at the University of Gothenburg or Chalmers University of Technology.
