About the Position


An Agile People Leader manages and leads assigned resources, and is responsible for employee performance management, coaching, recruitment, career development and retention. An Agile People Leader is highly collaborative across numerous functions and builds strong relationships throughout the University.

1. Interact, collaborate and coordinate on a frequent basis with other employees in IT and throughout the University

2. Develop and maintain high performing employees who provide quality and timely delivery of business objectives. 

 

3. Develop, execute and maintain training plans to ensure technical skills needed are available to support the University objectives. 

 

4. Facilitate/contribute to at least one meeting that sets standards, provides shared knowledge opportunities, and oversees improvements to those specific areas of IT.

 

5. Provide leadership and mentoring to team members on behaviors, processes and techniques required to successfully deliver value to the University. 

 

6. Manage the personnel actions for assigned staff which includes but is not limited to, approving vacation, coaching and counseling, conducting ongoing check-ins(including monitoring behaviors and competencies to meet defined expectations), hiring new employees, making salary or merit increase recommendations, performance managing,  training and evaluating employees.

 

7. Maintain relationships with other teams, including Delivery Managers, Product   Management and other team members across the University to ensure consistency of practices and processes and efficiency of team members

 

8. Manage vendor relationships for assigned contract staff resources.

 

9. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise 10 to 25 employees

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree

• Collaboration and influencing skills

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

• 4 years of IT work experience

• Understanding and knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the technology field

• Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers and department staff 

• Ability to connect with and manage resources across a broad spectrum of specialties
