  • Commencement Salary: $84,539 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role 

The Advertising Officer is a member of
the Campaigns team within the Communications and Marketing Unit, and
is responsible for planning, developing and implementing advertising
strategies and campaigns to increase the profile of, and enrolments
in, the University’s priority programs.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conceptualise, plan, develop and
    deliver complex integrated advertising campaigns for the
    University’s priority programs and key areas of focus, based on
    analysis of relevant data and in consultation with key stakeholders
  • Lead the development of detailed,
    strategically focused briefs to guide appointed agencies and
    suppliers in the implementation and ongoing management of media
    plans that align with the University’s broader business objectives 
  • Develop and maintain up to date
    performance reports and dashboards to monitor and improve campaign
    performance, using your analytical skills to provide insights to
    inform decision making, recommend enhancements and provide
    strategic guidance to the Campaigns team and key stakeholders
  • Oversee University brand consistency
    in all advertising channels, providing expert strategic advice and
    guidance to key CMK teams to ensure brand alignment across web,
    events, social, email marketing, news and PR, and partnerships
  • Provide strategic advice on
    iterative performance improvements in all work tracking meetings
    and key stakeholder forums with the Campaigns team and our
    external creative and media buying agencies, coordinating
    advertising workflows to ensure activities are delivered on time
    and within budget

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in
    marketing, communications or a related discipline, or equivalent
    demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in a comparable role
  • Demonstrated experience in
    developing and implementing integrated advertising campaigns for a
    wide range of audiences
  • High level interpersonal, oral and
    written communication skills, including the proven ability to
    successfully negotiate and interact with senior levels of
    management and highly specialised professionals, both within and
    external to the University
  • Demonstrated experience in producing
    marketing materials with particular reference to digital
    advertising and integrated marketing campaigns
  • Demonstrated experience in analysing
    and interpreting data and statistics and preparing marketing
    analysis and reports.
