The Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing’s Advancement Office is critical to this success. As part of the collaborative and performance driven Advancement office, the Advancement Coordinator will work under the general direction of the Director of Advancement. As the Advancement Coordinator, you will provide administrative support across the Faculty’s Advancement operations including fundraising, donor relations, and alumni relations.

In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues in the Advancement Office, across the Faculty, and throughout the Division of University Advancement to support the development of meaningful relationships that advance the priorities of the Faculty as well as strengthen the Faculty’s pipeline of both donors and engaged alumni.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Fostering positive relationships with alumni
  • Drafting donor gift agreements
  • Drafting donor acknowledgment and recognition communications
  • Drafting written materials for fundraising activities
  • Implementing established stewardship program activities
  • Fostering positive relationships with alumni
  • Generating reports
  • Updating prospect databases and portfolios

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ combined work experience in fundraising, donor relations, alumni relations and administration. Experience in a post-secondary environment preferred.
  • Experience providing a high level of customer service to donors and alumni.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing donor and alumni correspondence.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing advancement project-specific fundraising proposals.
  • Experience providing administrative support to alumni relations events.
  • Experience generating, collating and manipulating advancement reports.
  • Experience conducting advancement-specific research.
  • Knowledge of the Advancement profession and principles of Advancement combined with an understanding of the University’s Advancement programs.
  • Evidence of a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
  • Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality, and exhibit good judgment in dealing with administrators, faculty, students, staff, and external constituents including donors and alumni.
  • Excellent decision making, creative problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong planning, organizational and time management skills including the ability to balance competing priorities and work under pressure to specific deadlines.
  • Strong communication (oral and written) skills and ability to demonstrate professionalism.
  • Ability to work in a team environment while managing own projects and programs with creativity, initiative and good judgment.
  • Knowledge of the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing and its community partners.
  • Strong computer skills including demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ARBOR CRM.

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:

USW Pay Band 09 — $66,715. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $85,319. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
