Adult Learning Technical Assistance Support Associate

AIR is currently seeking a Technical Assistance (TA) Support Associate to join our team. The available position is part of AIR’s Adult Learning team within the more extensive AIR Workforce Division portfolio.

 

This role requires collaboration with a cross-functional teammates and subject matter experts to design and develop effective professional learning opportunities that meet participant needs while applying best practices for effective adult learning. 

 

Candidates hired for this position can work remotely based in the United States or can work from any one of AIR’s United State office locations .

Our Adult Learning Hub at AIR develops self-directed and facilitated courses for utilization by adult education teachers and administrators. TA Support Associate will be responsible for the ongoing updating and development of new courses with emphasis on the optimization and scaling of our online learning system and content. This role includes other project support and coordination tasks as assigned and described below. The responsibilities for the position include:

  • Lead the development of online learning content for the adult education specific projects with oversight of the task leads and project directors
  • Build and administer learning activities and resources using Moodle or third-party applications such as Articulate 360, Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, HTML, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Transition SCORM packaged content to multimedia
  • Upload and embed multimedia content
  • Understand and apply new eLearning initiatives and innovations
  • Work as part of a team and meet deadlines
  • Write narration scripts for video content
  • Monitor and report participation courses, as well as certificate attainment
  • Review courses for needed updates and apply fixes to broken links or malfunctioning content
  • Support all aspects of project work as assigned including: coordinate logistics of virtual and face-to-face meetings and events, manage accountability tasks such as monthly and annual reports, liaise with publications and facilities services, execute tasks and activities as directed by project leaders to complete deliverables
  • Support administrative processing for hiring and paying consultants
  • Undertake such other tasks as may reasonably be required

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, information technology, or related fields
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience providing instructional design, specifically online course development
  • Previous experience with a Learning Management System (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, etc.)
  • Previous work experience in educational instruction and teaching online
  • Previous experience coordinating professional development events both face-to-face and virtual
  • Experience in creating accessible online courses
  • Experience with CSS and HTML knowledge desirable but not required
