Admissions Officer – Postgraduate Research

The Admissions Office is a high performing team that is responsible for administering applications to the University from initial enquiry through to enrolment, ensuring an excellent applicant experience and journey.
The post holder will need to have or acquire an excellent knowledge of the external funding landscape and how that influences and relates to the admission of postgraduate research students to the University. They will need to become familiar with postgraduate research admission procedures, processes, and relevant policies/regulations aligned to University and external funding bodies. This will include all matters relating to postgraduate research admissions. This work requires a high level of organisational ability, communication skills and accuracy. The post holder will mentor the Admissions Adviser (Postgraduate Research) and will be responsible for allocation of work. The post holder will take an active role in the resolution of problems and support the Admissions Manager (Postgraduate Research) in ensuring that the service delivered is of an excellent standard. The post holder will understand the imperative to meet the University’s stretching student recruitment targets and work in a professional, collaborative manner towards achieving this aim.
The post holder will be trained in Admissions processes, systems and policies in order to carry out the role effectively.
