The College of Health Sciences offers pre-professional, professional, and research-focused degrees through its five academic departments: Biomedical Sciences, Communication Sciences & Disorders, Health Informatics & Administration, Kinesiology, and Rehabilitation Sciences & Technology.
Personnel in CHS’ Office of Student Affairs provides comprehensive student services to prospective and enrolled undergraduate students. The Recruitment Coordinator will serve as a team member alongside a staff providing academic advising, retention activities, student and data records management and scholarship administration. Graduating students typically enter the workforce or pursue credentialed graduate degrees across a wide variety of healthcare professions. The Office reports to the Associate Dean of the College.
Job Summary The College of Health Sciences (CHS) invites applicants for this position in the Office of Student Affairs. The Recruitment Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include the leadership, management, and evaluation of comprehensive recruitment for the College with particular emphasis on undergraduate students (entering the College as new freshmen, transfer students, and re-entry students). The Recruitment Coordinator will plan, develop, coordinate, manage, and execute the recruitment and admissions process in alignment with the strategic goals of the College. In addition, the Recruitment Coordinator will represent the institution and CHS programs to prospective students with a goal of attracting, admitting, and enrolling a talented, diverse student body. Candidates must possess excellent organizational skills and oral/written communication skills. The preferred candidate will have earned a master’s degree and have experience in recruitment in a post-secondary education setting. Position will include some evening and weekend work/travel.
The University of Wisconsin (UW) System offers a comprehensive benefits package to meet the diverse needs of our community. The University contributes towards the cost of several benefit plans. Some health and life insurance premiums are deducted from salary on a pre-tax basis, saving employees money. This position will be granted 176 hours (22 days) of vacation, 36 hours of personal holiday, and paid legal holidays each year. Sick leave will be granted at 176 hours (22 days) of initial entitlement for use during the first 18 months of employment, after the Initial entitlement period, you may earn up to 96 hours (12 days) of sick leave per fiscal year which continues to accumulate and does not expire. This position offers a competitive salary based on qualifications and experience with an expected salary between $45,000 – $55,000 annually.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Two years of experience in recruitment
  • Demonstrated excellence in written communication skills
  • Experience in giving individual and group presentations

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Counseling, or related fields
  • Experience in recruiting both undergraduate and graduate students in a post-secondary educational setting
  • Experience working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software system such as Slate, Banner or Hobson’s Radius
