The University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs’ Center for Governance and Markets (CGM) is seeking an Administrator to support the Center’s research, programming, and activities. Reporting to the Center’s Assistant Director, the Administrator will be responsible for supporting all day-to-day operations. The person in this role will be involved in all aspects of the Center’s activities, including but not limited to supporting the successful execution on all research projects, programmatic activities (e.g., conferences, workshops, seminars, speaker series, etc.), contract development and fulfillment, travel coordination and expense reporting, and other related activities such as general office management.
Incumbent will play an important role in supporting threatened research scholars and supporting other Center staff and leadership. A Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of prior administrative experience is required. Additionally, this position requires a highly-organized, self-starter who operates with a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy, managing multiple deadlines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, the ability to thrive in a team environment, and will be comfortable interacting with individuals from various backgrounds. This position is 100% funded by non-University funds.
Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of prior administrative experience required. A strong commitment to the mission of CGM is required, and experience working with diverse populations, preferably from having experience living or working in a global environment, is preferred.
