Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Administrator to join the Massey Business School  to provide comprehensive, high quality administrative support for the college. 

Massey Business School is one of New Zealand’s leading and largest business schools.  We rank in the top 200 Universities teaching Accounting and Finance and in the top 300 universities for Economics and Econometrics and Business and Management Studies (QS). We were recently number 1 in New Zealand for Business Administration and Communication and number 2 for Management and Economics (Shanghai).  The role available at this time is anticipated to be initially aligned to support our School of Management.   This School delivers Massey’s Management and HR programmes among others.

This Administration role supports the Massey Business School by providing comprehensive, high quality general administration and finance administration support to managers, staff and students, supporting them to achieve their objectives, and supporting awareness and uptake by managers and staff of self-service and work request systems/processes and new ways of performing general administrative tasks.

The location can be either our Auckland Campus at Albany or Manawatū campus in Palmerston North. 

The role requires:

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, being receptive and helpful when dealing with a diverse range of people within the University and externally.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle varying levels of complexity and meet multiple deadlines.
  • High self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and cooperatively as an effective team member, with absolute discretion when dealing with sensitive situations and confidential matters.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, with a high level of maturity, initiative, and personal integrity.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to question.
  • Relevant work experience in administration and the ability to pick up work quickly.
