Primary Purpose of Position This position provides Student Services Support to the department and college, and is the primary support for the department’s Office Manager and Undergraduate Coordinator.
Minimum Education/Experience Required Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from high school and one year of related office experience; or an equivalent combination of education
and experience.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from high school and demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through three years of specialized office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Job Duties
  • Processes employment paperwork for Graduate Teaching Assistants, Research Assistants and Undergraduate Students.
  • Assists students with questions regarding their payroll and employment contracts
  • Assists faculty members with clerical needs.
  • Establishes and maintains accurate files on undergraduate and graduate students
  • Generates reports, and constructs/types letters and memos.
  • Provides support to the Undergraduate Coordinator and Departmental Administrator.

Other Work Responsibilities
  • Assists the department in course scheduling and instructor assignment for SIS and the Integrated Critical Core Center as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Three years of office/clerical experience, preferably in a higher education environment working with students and faculty.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience preferred.
  • Experience with student support functions and Student/Financial modules in Banner is a plus.
  • Ability to learn a wide variety of campus systems, such as eGA, epafs, Hire-A Niner, NInerTalent, course scheduler, etc.
