Job Description:
  • Provide support for overall day-to-day operations of the OER community
  • Perform clerical/administrative duties (e.g., respond to inquiries, order/manage office supplies, attend to guests)
  • Manage the AD’s calendar (e.g., scheduling meetings, planning events, monitoring deadlines)
  • Coordinate and prepare materials and arrangements for projects, meetings, and activities
  • Review and edit documents (e.g., reports, speeches, conference proposals, letters, emails)
  • Plan travel (e.g., flights, hotels, registrations, itinerary, travel authorization)
  • Maintain communications and confidential information
  • Manage whole-office scheduling (e.g., annual leave) of the OER community
  • Support contact and tasks involving other units (e.g., PKY, Dean’s Office, Office of Research, Office of the Provost)
  • Manage internal and external faculty awards processes (e.g., create announcements, timelines, review plan)
  • Coordinate faculty processes (e.g., tenure and promotion, sabbatical, professional development leave)
  • Participate in trainings to effectively perform role and duties
  • Represent OER at meetings and events
  • Collaborate with and support other OER team members as needed
  • Coordinate the AD’s engagements with the college’s faculty governance committees
  • Plan and facilitate non-routine and special administrative projects
  • Maintain ongoing record of Overhead account expenditures and commitments
  • Support completion of the Dean’s Compliance report of Overhead account expenditures
  • Provide training to support staff and research assistants regarding office procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
Expected Salary:

Commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with or knowledge of external research funding policies and practices
  • Experience with or knowledge of the online tenure and promotion process
