Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic person, wishing to develop their career in research administration, to join the Research Facilitation and Delivery Unit to provide high quality administrative support, focused on research, innovation, educational and enterprise activities of relevance to health and care technology areas.

 

The successful candidate will provide high-level research administrative support to members of the Stroke Research Team at the University of Central Lancashire in relation to a specific programme of work “Exploring the Stroke-Specific Educational Needs of the stroke Care workforce in England” (ESSENCE). The project aims to develop and deliver high-quality, impactful, transdisciplinary, nationally significant research partnerships and outputs focused on improving stroke care in the UK. The postholder will coordinate research activities, liaise with external partners, and, with the support of senior colleagues, contribute to training and dissemination activities.

 

The successful applicant will have significant research administration experience in a busy office and experience of liaising with senior internal and external bodies, organising national and/or international conferences and experience of developing and maintaining manual and electronic filing systems.

 

Ability to research, organise, analyse and present information both verbally and in writing are required, as well as excellent IT skills including Microsoft (e.g., ACCESS, Canva, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word and WordPress). Additionally, the successful applicant will have excellent organisational skills including time management and the ability to work under pressure to high levels of quality and accuracy.

 

The successful applicant will have a range of GCSEs, including English Language and Math’s, or appropriate equivalent experiential learning and a degree or equivalent experiential learning.
