The Department of Nutritional Sciences is home to some of the world’s most accomplished, innovative, and reputable researchers. We play a pivotal role in training experts in nutrition who go on to important positions in academia, health care, industry, and government. The Department also plays an important role in educating the public on nutrition issues. We offer MSc and PhD degree programs and a major in Nutritional Sciences at the undergraduate level. We contribute to teaching in the professional Master of Public Health in (Nutrition and Dietetics) degree through the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. Our partnerships have allowed us to fully explore the relationships between nutrition and human health and disease and to influence clinical practice and public health programs.
The Joannah & Brian Lawson Centre for Child Nutrition supports research, education, and policy with clear pathways to improve nutrition in children, families, and communities in Canada and globally. We connect learners, educators, researchers, health practitioners, patients, data and knowledge resources with a shared vison of lifelong health through better child nutrition.
Under the general direction of the Lawson Centre Program Manager, the Administrative Officer will be supporting various administrative tasks in support of The Joannah & Brian Lawson Centre for Child Nutrition. The role will include coordinating project tasks with stakeholders, where you will take the initiative to improve upon established administrative processes. You will also be responsible for supporting the processing of accounts receivable and determining logistics related to event planning. You will utilize your communication, organizational, and strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with project partners to help advance the mission, vision, and values of The Joannah & Brian Lawson Centre for Child Nutrition.
