Nature of Responsibilities:
The Administrative Intern assists with the logistical execution of programming, training, and targeted outreach of the Mary Lou Williams Center for Black Culture. Through execution and evaluation of events that promote the Center’s educational and cultural enrichment objectives, this individual strengthens the connection to the undergraduate, graduate, and professional student populations at Duke. This position also helps to support the delivery of training and workshops in support of the Center’s goal to educate the overall Duke community.

General Qualifications
Minimum: must be a recent college graduate (c/o 2022, 2021, 2020). Duke graduates preferred. Ideal candidates must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and good multi-taskers.
Specific Skills and Competencies
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are essential. Demonstrated effectiveness in working with students and student organizations. Must possess an appreciation for and some understanding of Black people, history, culture, and the vast contributions of people of the African Diaspora. Fluency with office productivity applications, social media platforms, google suite, and web tools.
