Position Summary
This position provides administrative support to faculty within the Hand Division, coordinates programs and schedules, and performs specialized duties with minimum supervision.

Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Manages physician calendars and clinical schedules, organizes meetings, and travel.
  • Establishes and maintains departmental policies, procedures and objectives including regulatory records for licenses, reports, and notifications as necessary.
  • Administers/prepares reports, minutes, correspondence, lectures and administrative materials required for the direction of the department.
  • Develops budget reports, implements financial monitors, cost transfers, and purchasing processing.
  • Assists with visitors and customers questions and needs.
  • Assists with general office duties within the Department of Orthopedic Surgery including sorting mail and distributing packages.
  • Monitors the general maintenance of the building, notifies maintenance of problems, places work orders, and follows-up with housekeeping on the completion of tasks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office programs, Outlook calendar and email, Microsoft Teams and Zoom meetings. 
  • Experience in grant preparations and manuscript submissions.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal communication skills to deal effectively with a broad and diverse range of people.
  • In-depth knowledge of office procedures.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good judgement and ability to work independently.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
  • Three years of relevant experience.

Grade
G08-H

Salary Range
$20.15 – $31.26 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one’s qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
