Administrative Coordinator

Position Summary
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for implementing various administrative tasks relating to the day-to-day operations of the Columbia University School of Nursing’s master’s programs by providing a variety of advanced administrative, confidential, and technical responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Provides administrative support to an academic teaching department by providing reception services, scheduling appointments meetings filing, records, database maintenance, coordinating class schedules, preparing and proofreading correspondence, reports, procuring office supplies and other documents.
- Utilizes knowledge and understanding of underlying operational issues to assist in administrative problem solving.
- Provide administrative support to faculty, including but not limited to technical support, securing desired materials, test preparation, and administration.
- Helps to organize and conduct departmental events.
- Remains current and competent by attending development, courses, and software training classes.
- Performing other assignment’s, projects & responsibilities as needed and assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education, training and experience plus two years of related experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must be detailed oriented and have excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and work with little direction.
